Continuing Education Credits

The Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives conference is co-presented by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Executive and Continuing Professional Education and The Culinary Institute of America. Download 2019 Continuing Education Credit information here. We will post information about Continuing Education Credits for the 2020 conference in late 2019.

 

Continuing Medical Education (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Executive and Continuing Professional Education)

  • Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Executive and Continuing Professional Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
  • Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 21 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
  • Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the course.
  • Credit letter is issued by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Executive and Continuing Professional Education
  • Process: Each physician will be required to complete the online conference evaluation. The link to the online evaluation form will be sent via email on Saturday February 9, 2019.  At the end of the evaluation survey you will be provided with a link to the Harvard Chan credit portal.  The portal will allow you to access to your CME credit letter and to save and/or print it.

Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (Commission on Dietetic Registration)

  • RDs and RDNs can earn up to 21 CPEUs.
  • Certificate is issued by The Culinary Institute of America.
  • Process: Dietitians should pick up a Dietitian Attestation Form (green), complete, sign, and return it to the registration desk by 3:30 pm on Friday. Certificates will be emailed from the CIA after the conference within 10 business days.

Chefs and Culinary Professionals (The Culinary Institute of America)

  • Chefs and culinary professionals can earn up to 2.1 hours CEU.
  • Certificate is issued by The Culinary Institute of America
  • Process: Chefs should pick up a Chef Attestation Form (yellow), complete, sign and return it to the registration desk by 3:30 pm Friday. Certificates will be emailed from the CIA after the conference within 10 business days.

Family Physicians (American Academy of Family Physicians) #75385

  • This Live activity, Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives: Caring for our Patients and Ourselves, from February 6 – 8, 2019, is acceptable for up to 13.5 Prescribed credits and 7.25 Elective credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
  • Since some sessions run concurrently, no more than 20.75 credits may be reported.
  • Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
  • Report your attendance and receive credits at http://www.aafp.org/cme.html
  • No certificates are required.

 

For other professions not listed above

  • Process: Each attendee will be required to complete the online conference evaluation. The link to the online evaluation form will be sent via email on Saturday, February 9, 2019.  At the end of the evaluation survey you will be provided with a link to the Harvard Chan credit portal.  The portal will allow you to access to the credit letter for non-physicians and to save and/or print it.  
  • The credit letter for non-physicians can be submitted to your professional association for possible continuing education credit in your field. For example, nurses may be able to turn in their credit letter to the Board of Registered nursing in California.
